I have to admit, about halfway through this novel I was losing my way a bit, simply because I missed my favourite characters who were off elsewhere. However, once I got over the fact that I will read Tyrion, Dany and Jon once again – this was such a crazy instalment of the series.

Besides my tiny temper tantrum about missing those not in King’s Landing, the development of all these characters is so subtle and insane you don’t realise how far they have fallen until it’s too late. Reading Jamie redeem himself alongside Cersei losing her mind with power and rage is beyond fascinating…

Some events in this novel I am in denial about, and others I am waiting very impatiently to find out – what the hell is going on?!?! As I say every time, ‘I will take a break from the series’ as I’m picking up A Dance With Dragons.
