This was a lovely collection of three short stories from one of the most incredible and existential writers ever. The intertwined feminism, sci-fi and rage that encapsulates all of these stories are what ties them together – not Harpman.
The first story is very similar to the same amazing and oddly inspiring themes of ‘I Who Have Never Known Men’. This story is an incredible read of what I’m calling Harpman’s eerie style. The second story was a heartbreaking autobiographical tale, told in her humorous and engaging style that leaves you with so much curiosity.
The final story was my absolutely favourite – the crazy tellings of a chaotic daydream! I am slightly mad this story was so short because it was so fascinating and intriguing narrative choice. These vintage classics collections might just be my new favourite stories!!
